GROUPRIDES
We organize monthly group rides, open to everyone and free to join. Two Thursday after-work rides per month and one Saturday morning weekend starter per month. We aim to organize them regularly, but we will adapt to the weather conditions. Check the final dates below. We'll cruise through the Pajottenland on a fixed route, go full gas on Bruine Put and finish off in L'écluse Kiosk at Porte d'Anderlecht for a drink. These road rides are starting in April after our annual Tour of Flanders road season kick-off ride.
The idea behind these rides is simple: enjoying time on the bike in a relaxed and social setting. It’s not a race, but we do maintain a steady, enjoyable pace. More than anything, these rides are about meeting like-minded riders, sharing the experience on the road or gravel, and catching up afterwards over a good cup of coffee and/or drink. We also provide the basics to give your bike a quick rinse after the ride. From now on, we will host our rides on some selected and proven routes over the year. Convince this will make the rides more safe and accesible for everyone

HOUSE RULES

Meet up in front of the shop 08:20 on saturday and 18:20 on Thursday.

Roll out 08:30 on Saturday and 18:30 on Thursday.

All traffic rules apply.

With 15 or more participants, we ride on the road, otherwise, we stick to bike paths when possible.

A road captain leads and another follows at the back of the group.

A helmet is mandatory.

A spare inner tube and tools to change it are mandatory.

Check your bike for mechanical issues the day before.

If relevant, we provide a weather update on Friday.

These are not races, but we do keep up the pace.

For road rides, we ride at an average speed of ±25 km/h, which corresponds to a riding speed of ±28 km/h.

For gravel rides, we ride at an average speed of ±21 km/h, which corresponds to a riding speed of ±24 km/h.

For gravel rides, a minimum tire width of 33 mm with tread is mandatory.
Yes, we organize group rides on public roads. However, we are not responsible for any accidents that may occur. By participating in a group ride, you are expected to know the road rules and to behave appropriately, defensively, and responsibly within the group. We strongly recommend obtaining insurance, either privately or through a federation.
